Sometime after 2003, while still living in Goleta, California, Randall Stone received an invitation from an old friend visiting from Hungary, Bela Dobos. The call was to come and help Word of Life Bible School with a Gospel oriented summer camp. Randall ended up helping with soccer, teaching English and sharing Christ with many needy young people. It was during this time the Lord stirred Randall’s heart to serve Christ in Hungary.
After a time of prayer and seeking God’s will, he returned to Word of Life Hungary and began to minister among the Hungarians in a mentor/discipleship capacity. It’s at WOL ministry Randall met his wife, Timea. Now, together they not only continue that desire and contribute where they can at WOL Hungary, but also use their home as a tool for reaching out to their local community—these are true missionaries. Recently Randall wrote:
“We seek to do practical help for our community to gain their willingness to hear the message of the Gospel.”
What a great joy it is when we find the ministry does not remain housed in four walls, but spreads to the local community. Presently, with their four children, they are connected and partnered as missionaries with Ripe for Harvest Ministry while still taking an active role with Word of Life. Randall is also serving as a deacon at Danube International Church in Budapest.
Recently, we were able to help the them purchase a van. We stand with the Stone family. They are a great blessing to the people of Hungary and we pray for their strength and direction as they serve Christ in their little village of Tóalmás. Feel free to contact Pilgrims Provision Ministries if you’d like to partner with their ministry.
